Jesus Died for Prodigal, Promiscuous, and Proud People Luke 11.15-32 March 31, 2019

The Parable of the Prodigal Son shows us just how patient God is in His love toward all people no matter how stupid, disrespectful and irresponsible they might be. The parable also shows us how to avoid being pharisaical toward people like this.

The Rage of Unbelief-Look Beyond It! Philippians 3.17-4.1 March 17, 2019

Our lives also resemble Jesus’ journey. We face the opposition of the devil and the opposition of the world. Right now, I am speaking with our young people who will be confessing their faith in confirmation. The rite of confirmation begins with the baptismal question: “Do you renounce the devil and all his works?” It ends with the question: “Will you be faithful to Christ even unto death?” The successful journey of Jesus to the cross and to the resurrection on the third day is the key to our successful journey through life as we face the opposition of the devil and the world. This is what Paul was speaking about when He said, “Join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern.” And, “Stand fast in the Lord, beloved.”

Listen - Listen carefully and take the time to understand what has happened in their life and how it has affected their faith or lack of faith.

Ask - Ask questions that will clarify where they are in their spiritual life.

Seek - Look for some common ground and do some digging to find the Bible truths that your friend needs to know.

Share - Share with them the key Bible truths that can help them with their questions and needs.

Invite - Invite them to go further and deeper in the conversation about Jesus.

Encourage - Pray for and encourage the person you hope will be brought to faith.
